| dc.description.abstract | The demand for bioethanol as an alternative fuel is increasing every year. Bioethanol is a type of biofuel produced by converting sugar in the fermentation process. The use of corn husk is due to the high content of lignin, cellulose and hemicellulose, while reducing waste that pollutes the environment. This study aims to analyze the effect of the amount of acid given on the glucose content produced and to determine the level of ethanol produced based on variations in the fermentation time that has been determined. This research method is an experiment with 3 HCl volume treatments, namely 600 mL, 650 mL and 700 mL. The parameters studied were glucose content, yield, and ethanol content. The results showed that the highest average glucose content in the 600 mL volume was 8.7%, while the lowest average glucose content in the 700 mL volume was 4.56%. The highest average ethanol content in the volume of 600 mL with fermentation for 5 days was 8.02%, while the lowest average ethanol content in the volume of 700 mL with fermentation for 3 days was 6.098%. It can be concluded that the higher the volume of acid added, the lower the glucose content produced and vice versa. The highest ethanol content was 8.02% in the volume of 600 mL with fermentation for 5 days. | en_US |
