dc.description.abstractMilling is affected by rotational speed. To overcome the weaknesses and shortcomings of the candlenut grinding, a burr mill type candlenut grinder was made. The purpose of this study was to obtain the best tool rotation speed to produce the best quantity and quality of candlenut grinding by using a tipe burr mill peanut grinder. This study used a non-factorial completely randomized design. The rotation speed of the tool used is 8300 rpm (P1), 8500 rpm (P2) and 8700 rpm (P3). The parameters tested were the effective capacity of the tool, the percentage of material left behind, and the percentage of material lost. In this study the best rotational speed of the tool is at 8300 rpm. The results showed that the highest effective capacity of the tool was 74.651 kg/hour at 8300 rpm rotation, the highest percentage of material left behind was 15.867% at 8700 rpm rotation and the highest percentage of material lost was 6.3% at 8700 rpm rotation.en_US
