dc.description.abstractThe issue discussed in this research is the Lubuk Cermara Village in Perbaungan Subdistrict, Serdang Bedagai Regency on how the culture of Banjar people as well as their economics are reflected there. This reserach aims to describe the situation of Banjar people living in Lubuk Cemara Village during the period 1998 2009 including their initial migration from Kalimantan to this place, as well as their customs after settling there. This historical reserach carries out historical research method such as heuristic, critics interpretation, and historiographic Field research and literary study are employed as data collection method. The findings indicate that the Banjar people living in the Lubuk Cemara village, Perbaungun Subdistrict, Serdang Bedagai Regency has been living there since the plantations in Eastern Sumatera were expanded The Banjar ethnic group has been renowned for their obedience and commitment in practicing Islamic teachings, and the faith they are embracing Therefore, the customs they haw is not separable from Islamic teaching.en_US
