dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study is to describe the views of Japanese families and society about jouhatsu and to describe the government's efforts to deal with jouhatsu. The approach used is a phenomenological approach. This research uses the library research method and see notes and data taken from CNA's Youtube account entitled Vanishing Without Trace. The results of this study illustrate that the family's view of jouhatsu is disagree, because every family experiences the sadness of losing a beloved family member. While the views of the community varied, some disagree and some supported it. The Japanese government's effort to overcome jouhatsu is by issuing a National Individual Number system.en_US
