Biologi Reproduksi dan Pertumbuhan Ikan Belanak (Mugil dussumieri) yang Ditemukan di Perairan Bandar Khalifah Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai Provinsi Sumatera Utara

Abstract

Belanak fish (Mugil dussumieri) is one type of marine fish that is one of the catches in Bandar Khalifah Waters. This research was conducted in January ˗ March 2023. The number of mullet samples during the study was 409 with a total length between 120 - 217 mm and total weight between 14.1 ˗ 85 grams. The growth pattern of mullet fish is negative allometric, based on the value of the condition factor classified as less flat, namely 0.514 - 1.979, the growth parameters in the von Bertalanffy equation of male mullet fish (L∞ and K) are 140.5 mm and 0.51 mm / year, while female mullet fish (L∞ and K) are 139.5 mm and 0.48 mm / year with a natural mortality value (M) of 0.74 and exploitation (F) of 1.24. Reproduction results show an unbalanced sex ratio of 1:3. The level of gonads maturity of mullet fish at the TKG I - TKG IV stage, egg fecundity ranges from 963 - 129,311 eggs and based on egg diameter mullet fish are classified as partial spawners.
