This research is entitled "Lexical Ambiguity in the Indonesian Law Number 11 of 2020 Regarding Job Creation." The research is motivated by the presence of ambiguity in the law, which can lead to uncertainty and confusion among stakeholders. The aim of this study is to uncover the lexical ambiguities present in the Job Creation Law and contribute to legal development, particularly in understanding the meaning and interpretation within the law. The theories utilized in this research are Ullmann's theory of ambiguity (1972) and Lyons' theory of the causes of ambiguity (1995). The research employs a qualitative descriptive method. The data used in this study consist of words and phrases containing lexical ambiguities in the Job Creation Law. These data are analyzed using the agih method with a substitution analysis technique. The findings reveal 16 instances of lexical ambiguity within the Job Creation Law. Among these, 9 instances are local ambiguities, while 7 instances are referential ambiguities. However, no global ambiguities were found in this research. The identified causes of these lexical ambiguities include polysemy, homonymy, and reference.
