Pola Distribusi dan Pertumbuhan Ikan Cencen (Mystacoleucus marginatus) di Sungai Lau Belawan, Kecamatan Pancur Batu, Provinsi Sumatera Utara

Abstract

Research on the Distribution and Growth Patterns of Cencen Fish (Mystacoleucus marginatus) in the Lau Belawan River, Pancur Batu District, North Sumatra Province was carried out in November 2022 ̶January 2023. The number of catches obtained during the study was 114 fish and the total length of the observed fish i.e. 51 – 162 mm. The distribution pattern of cencen fish belongs to the group distribution pattern. The growth pattern of male cencen fish is negative allometric while the female is positive allometric. Condition factor values for males range from 0,57 ̶ 5,46 with an average of 0,87 so they are classified as flat fish while females range from 0,68 ̶ 1,31 with an average of 1,07 so they are classified as less flat fish. Parameter estimation was carried out using the FISAT II program (FAO-ICLARM Inventory Assessment Tools). The results of the study showed that the growth coefficient (K) was 1.3/year, the infinitive length (L∞) was 167,25 mm, the theoretical age of cencen at zero length (t0) was -0,56. The size at first caught (Lc) of cencen fish in males was 92,79 mm and 115,4 mm in females and the sex ratio of cencen fish was in a balanced condition.
