dc.description.abstract | This study aims to describe the types and forms of conversational implicatures of the people of Tanjung Pura in Langkat Regency. This research is a qualitative research using descriptive method. This study uses the pragmatic theory of conversational implicature according to Yule (2006) and the implicature form according to Alwi (2003). The data sources for this study were recorded conversations and documented interviews obtained directly from the research subjects, namely Malay community leaders in Tanjung Pura. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews and recording. Then analyze the data found. The results of this study indicate that the total data obtained is thirty-nine pieces of data, which consist of eighteen types of conversational implicatures, and the forms of conversational implicatures consist of twenty-one pieces of data. Among the conversational implicatures in the Tanjung Pura community, there are several types of conversational implicatures, such as special conversational implicature (IPK), scaled conversational implicature (IPB), general conversational implicature (IPU). There are also implicatures. The form of conversational implicature is used by the community for various reasons, namely to train sensitivity, soften speech so that the interlocutor is not offended. | en_US |
