dc.description.abstractThis study aims to describe local wisdom in the chanoyu (tea ceremony) tradition in Japan in the urasenke tradition, describe what are the performances and local wisdom found in the chanoyu (tea ceremony) tradition in Japan in the Urasenke tradition. The data used were several literature books on chanoyu to complete and complete this thesis and examined a video of the urasenke chanoyu ceremony practiced by one of the classes at Hakone Foundation in the United States entitled "Present! -Tea Ceremony-Urasenke Style". The research method used is descriptive to describe the shape of the object and discussion. Data collection by literature study by reading things related to the chosen problem topic, researching the video of the urasenke flow chanoyu ceremony by searching and downloading the video from the internet, then watching the data source, namely the Present! -Tea Ceremony-Urasenke Style, then script the video then translate into Indonesian especially on engagement, performance, The equipment used and the use as well as the movements and actions at the Chanoyu ceremony. The results of this study show that Chanoyu is a tea ceremony in Japan that has become one of the popular Japanese cultures today. In particular, Urasenke is the largest genre, Chanoyu performance in every movement and action has its own meaning that refers to the 4 concepts of chanoyu. Local wisdom in the chanoyu (tea ceremony) tradition in Japan is associated as a Japanese cultural identity, this culture is full of meaning and its relationship to humans (neighbors), nature and Gods (kami).en_US
