dc.description.abstract | This study aims to find the types of metaphors contained in the four songs with the highest number of views belonging to Mosawo on his personal YouTube account. Mosawo is a singer from Japan who creates love-themed songs based on a woman's point of view. This study uses theory of the types of metaphors by Stephen Ullmann, which include anthropomorphic metaphors, metaphors from abstract to concrete, animal metaphors, and synesthetic metaphors. The results of this study showed that the four songs with the highest number of views belonging to Mosawo, namely Gyutto, Aitai, Kira-kira and Sukiga Afureteitano were dominated by metaphors from abstract to concrete with a total of 10 data findings, followed by anthropomorphic metaphors with a total of 6 data findings and synesthetic metaphors with a total of 2 data findings. In this study were also found that the metaphorical meanings contained in the four songs is describing the feelings, thoughts and viewpoint of the character ‘Aku’ about the person she likes. | en_US |
