Background : Glaucoma is the second leading cause of blindness in the world. A family history of glaucoma places a person at a much greater risk of developing glaucoma. Aim : To analyze the differences in axial length, lens thickness, and anterior chamber depth in patient with a history of primary glaucoma and without a history of primary glaucoma in the family. Method : This research is an analytic observational with a case control design. A total of 25 family subjects with a history of primary open-angle glaucoma, 25 family subjects with a history of primary angle-closure glaucoma of at least 25 people, and 25 people without a history of primary glaucoma served as controls. The examination is carried out using biometry. Results : There was no significant differences in axial length between groups of families with a history of POAG and controls (p=0.526). There was no significant difference in lens thickness between the POAG and control groups (p=0.410). There was no significant difference in anterior chamber depth between the POAG and control groups (p=0.091). There was a significant difference in CDR between the POAG and control groups (p<0.001). There was a significant difference in axial length between the PACG and control groups (p<0.001). There was no significant difference in lens thickness between the PACG and control groups (p=0.407). There was a significant difference in anterior chamber depth between the PACG and control groups (p<0.001). There was a significant difference in CDR between the POAG and control groups (p<0.001). Conclusion : There were no significant differences in axial length, lens thickness, and anterior chamber depth between families with a history of POAG and controls. There was a significant difference between the axial length and depth of the anterior chamber between families with a history of PACG and controls, but there was no significant differences in lens thickness between families with a history of PACG and controls.en_US
