dc.description.abstractMicrogreen Wheatgrass is Young seed harvested 7-14 days after planting have fully developed cotyledons and a pair of true leaves. Technological developments and advances in science provide scientific evidence that some types of food plants can provide major health benefits, one of which is wheatgrass. Microgreens wheatgrass is a plant that is rich in nutrients. This study aims to determine the effect of giving Natural ZPT from coconut water and shallots and the effect of NaCl concentration on growth and production as well as the phytochemical content of microgreen wheatgrass (Triticum aestivum L.). This research was carried out by the Seed Technology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra in March 2023 using a completely randomized factorial design with 3 replications and 2 factors, namely ZPT Natural shallots and coconut water, and NaCl concentrations of 50mM, 100mM, 150mM . The results showed that the natural ZPT treatment increased the parameters of shoot wet weight, fiber content and microgreen wheatgrass antioxidants. Giving natural ZPT coconut water increased the observed variables of plant height, harvest index and microgreen wheatgrass flavonoids. Natural ZPT treatment 100ml can increase the growth and production of microgreen wheatgrass. Concentration of NaCl increases the parameters of plant height, root length, shoot wet weight, root wet weight, root crown ratio, fiber content, flavonoids, and antioxidants will have no significant effect on chlorophyll a , b and total as well as carotenoids. The best NaCl treatment at concentrations of 100mm and 150mm. The interaction of natural ZPT and NaCl can increase plant height, shoot wet weight, fiber content, flavonoids, and antioxidants.en_US
