dc.description.abstract | Tuberculosis (TB), as an infectious disease, is thought to potentially impair the quality of life, particularly in terms of physical and mental health. As a result, the role of Medication Supervisor is critical to help TB patients take their medication on a regular basis, and receive complete treatment. The research investigates how the role of Medication supervisor (PMO) affects the e quality of life of tuberculosis patients. This quantitative research with a correlational design carries out purposive sampling to select 40 tuberculosis patients who meet both inclusive criteria and the quality-of-life instrument, the SF-36 Quality of Life Questionnaire. Chi-Square test is then employed to analyze all of the data. The study finds that 29 people (72.5%) believe that the Medication Supervisor plays an active role. Majority of the respondents viewed from physical health, 33 people (82.5%), have poor life quality, and 26 people (65%), viewed from the overall life quality aspects, have good life quality. The Asym Sig value for the Chi-Square statistical test is 0.035. It implies that the Medication Supervisor plays an important role in the day-to- day treatment of TB patients to improve their health and life quality. This research finds a significant correlation between the roles of Medication Supervisor in improving the life quality of tuberculosis patients. | en_US |
