dc.description.abstractThe food estate program is a government program made for Humbahas farmers as a food barn where one of their commodities is shallots. Low farmer experience is one of the obstacles in cultivating food estate shallots. The purpose of this study is to analyze farmers' perceptions of internal and external factors related to shallot agribusiness and to analyze the influence of internal and external factors on farmers' perceptions. The method of analysis of this research is quantitative descriptive analysis using Likert scale measurements and multiple linear regression. The results showed that the level of farmers' perceptions of internal and external factors was in the good category. Meanwhile, farmers' perceptions regarding food estate shallot agribusiness are in the very good category. Internal factor variables (farmer age and capital) have a significant effect on farmers' perceptions. While the internal variables (formal education, frequency of extension participation, training participation frequency, and TKDK) have no significant effect on farmers' perceptions regarding shallot agribusiness. The external factor variable, namely support, has a significant effect on farmers' perceptions. While the external variables (access to capital approval, risk of damage to production, cooperation agreements, warehouse storage and cross roads have no significant effect on farmers' perceptions regarding shallot agribusiness food estate Humbang Hasundutan, North Sumatraen_US
