The Purpose of this research is to evaluate the ability of the Sheep-Blood
lysis and the Cow-Blood Lysis as the substitute for the Horse-Blood Lysis on the
Growths Media Campylobacter, in addition to evaluate the growth of
Campylobacter which originated from the chicken-meat samples in the culture
medium added with sheep-blood lysis and cow-blood lysis supplements compared
with the horse-blood lysis supplement. The Concentration amount of each sheep,
cow and horse blood lysis is 5%. The amount of Chicken-meat Sample which got
used for this research were 50 Samples. Based on the result of this research that has been done, the C. Jejuni
Bactery which originated from the 14 Chicken-Meat samples showed the growth
ability of the C. Jejuni up to 107
and of 16 Samples have the growth level up to
106
; on the other hand in the media which got added with cow-blood lysis
supplement of only 1 sample which did have the ability to grow up to 106
, 17
samples which had grown up to 105
, and 12 Samples which have the ability to
grow up to 104
. Based on the statistically analysis One Way Annova there were
some significantly different values (P<0.05). Further on the test using the Post
Hoc LSD has shown that the comparison of the average growth of sheep-blood
lysis is significantly different (P<0.05) compared to the cow-blood lysis.
