The data of KPU indicates that the number of voter participation in the 2020'h regional election in Medan during the Covid-19 pandemic is increased in every subdistrict compared to the previous regional election, one of which is in Medan Tuntungan Subdistrict with the participation rate of 53.75%. This area has the highest participation rate compared to all subdistricts. This research aims to analyze whether the Covid-19 pandemic affects the voter participation in Medan Tuntungan Subdistrict regional election in 2020 and analyze how much its effect is. This quantitative research employs data analysis techniques namely validity and reliability, data normality test, simple regression test, and hypothesis test is conducted using determinant test. The result shows that there is a positive and significant effect between X variable (Covid- 19 pandemic) on Y variable (Voter Participation) with the probability of 0.002< 0.05, indicating there is a significant effect between independent and dependent variables. Therefore, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. In addition, based on the correlation value (R) of 0.409, the value of coefficient of determination (R square) obtained is 0.162, meaning that the amount of effect between X variable (Covid-19 pandemic) and Y variable (Voter Participation) is 16.2%, and the remaining 83.8% is affected by other variables that are not discussed in this research.en_US
