Abstract
This study discusses the analysis of errors in reading surah Al-Fatihah on drug rehabilitation actors at the Ummi Foundation in Medan. This research is a study that discusses reading errors in a linguistic model that has a regular relationship between the writing system and speech which is closely related to Arabic phonology. The aim of the research was to find out the errors in pronouncing consonant sounds, the factors that influence the occurrence of errors and the percentage of errors in reading Surah Al-Fatihah. The theory used is Ahmad Sayuti's Arabic consonant reading error. This research is a field research (field research) using observation and interview techniques. The results of the research show that the consonant sound has an error. Consonants ح/h/ /, fricative – pharyngeal – voiceless with a percentage of 50%, consonants ذ/ẓ/ apikointerdental - shift – voiced with an error percentage of 20%, consonants ع/'/ /, fricative – pharyngeal – voiceless with a percentage of 10 %, consonant س /s/ pharyngeal – apikoalveolar – shift – voiceless with 10% error percentage, consonant ص /ṣ/ apikoalveolar – shift-voiced-bold with 60% error percentage. Factors that influence the occurrence of errors are environmental factors, before being in drug rehabilitation at the Ummi Foundation in Medan, they left the Koran for quite a long time, and there was no special teacher to teach reading Al-Fatihah, and there was no parental support for learning. the Koran at the time before drug rehabilitation. The conclusion obtained from the research is that the letters that have the most errors made by drug rehabilitation actors are the consonants ح/h/ as much as 50%. This is because they left reading the Koran for a long time, and also no one taught them to read surah Al-Fatihah before they were in the Ummi Foundation drug rehabilitation in Medan.
