dc.description.abstractThis study aims to describe the relationship between music and trance in the Braided Horse Show by Wahyu Satrio Putro Studio in the Binjai Estate Village, South Binjai District, Binjai City. The method used in this study is a descriptive analysis method with a qualitative research form. The approach used is an ethnographic approach. The technique used in this study is to use observation techniques, interviews and documentation studies. The theory used in this study is the descriptive theory of Milton Singer to explain the performance and analyze the performance of braided horse. The theory used to explain music and trance theory is the theory of Rouget, to describe the structure of music using the theory of W.P. Malm. The results of this study indicate that music is closely related to trance. Where music plays an important role in making players feel drunk or trance through a boisterous tempo and atmosphere. The conclusion of this study is that the horse braid show is closely related to belief in supernatural powers.en_US
