dc.description.abstractThe background of this research is to answer Muhammad Khoirilsyah's winning strategy in the implementation of the Tanah Merah Village Head Election. A young candidate who decides to run in the village head election in which the motivation to become a village head arises from himself and kinship environmental factors. The implementation of the strategy in selecting village heads is carried out by holding compensation for orphans, gatherings and conveying the vision and mission. This type of research is descriptive qualitative by analyzing the answers from interviewed informants and drawing final conclusions from the results of the interviews to provide facts systematically based on the data obtained. By using clientelism patronage theory and winning strategy. The results of the study show that the strategy used is to come to the homes of residents who have been targeted, convey the vision and mission and work programs, and use social media as a campaign platformen_US
