Hyakki Yakō dalam Yōkai

Abstract

The discussion in this final project discusses an event that is quite iconic in the legend of yōkai folklore called hyakki yakō. The purpose of writing this final project is to find out more clearly about the events of the hyakki yakō in the folklore of yōkai, and how a hyakki yakō describes a creature called yōkai, such as form, type, and habitat, from where they live. As well as explaining the works related to the event. In writing this paper, the writer uses the library method, where the writer collects information on data sources related to the subject to be observed and summarized in this final project. From the collection of data sources that have been carried out, the result is that works of art and literature about the Hyakki Yakō incident have become the biggest reason for the development of stories and legends regarding Yokai folklore to date. From the art and literature about hyakki yakō there are also several types of classifications of creatures called yōkai as well as descriptions of the forms of each yōkai and the habitats they live in.
