The analysis of the levels of ambient air nitrogen dioxide (NO2) has been
carried out at the Dinas Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan Provinsi Sumatera
Utara. Ambient air nitrogen dioxide (NO2) levels were carried out using the Griess
Saltzman method and then absorbance was measured using UV-Visible
Spectrophotometry at a wavelength of 550 nm. The concentration of nitrogen
dioxide was obtained at a concentration of 16.313 μg/m3, in ambient air samples
with code 2023/UA/02/02 the concentration of nitrogen dioxide was obtained at a
concentration of 0.8723 μg/m3 and in ambient air samples with code
2023/UA/02/03 nitrogen content dioxide obtained concentration of 3.3363 μg/m3.
Based on Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia No. 22 of 2021
concerning the Implementation of Environmental Protection and Management, the
maximum level of nitrogen dioxide (NO2) in ambient air for 1 hour is 200 μg/m3.
The results of the analysis show that the ambient air samples analyzed meet the
national ambient air quality standards.
