dc.description.abstractEducation and training is a learning process that involves developing knowledge, skills and attitudes to improve employee performance. This study aims to find out the description of the implementation of education and training, the description of employee performance, and the effect of education and training on employee performance at the Regional Personnel Board of Asahan Regency. The phenomenon that underlies this research is the employee's performance which seems not optimal which can be seen from employees who do not know enough about their duties, lack of skills and attitudes that do not provide good service. From this, education and training are needed that aim to correct weaknesses and improve ASN performance. The method used is a quantitative research method. This research is an associative research to explain the effect of education and training on employee performance. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires, observation, and documentation. The analysis technique is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results showed that education and training at the Asahan Regency Regional Personnel Agency were classified as good in terms of indicators of knowledge development (X1), skills/expertise development (X2), attitude change (X3). All indicators in variable X produce an average above 80% but X1 has the lowest average. This proves that employees do not get optimal knowledge development because there are still employees who do not understand their duties. Employee performance at the Asahan Regency Regional Personnel Agency is classified as high in terms of indicators of knowledge about work, ability to cooperate, initiative or initiative, discipline or work regularity, use of time and responsibility. The results of the analysis and testing of the hypothesis show that there is a significant effect of Education and Training on Employee Performance at the Regional Personnel Board of Asahan Regency with a high level of influence indicated by the value of Fh = 16.450 > Ft = 4.10. This test shows that there is a significant influence between variables X and Yen_US
