Perubahan Tingkah Laku Remaja Akibat Menghisap Rokok di Lingkungan 3 Kelurahan Terjun Medan Marelan

Abstract

In Indonesia, the World Health Organization (WHO) has determined Indonesia as the third largest country for cigarette users. More than 60 million Indonesians experience powerlessness due to addiction to nicotine cigarettes, and deaths from consuming cigarettes are recorded at more than 400 thousand people per year. This is in line with the smoking activities carried out by adolescents which are usually carried out in front of other people, especially in front of their group because they are very interested in their peer group or in other words who are attached to their group. This study aims to identify and describe changes in adolescent behavior as a result of smoking cigarettes in the 3rd Kelurahan Niagara Medan-Marelan. This study uses qualitative research methods using a descriptive approach. Changes in adolescent behavior as a result of smoking cigarettes in the environment of 3 Kelurahan Terusan, Medan-Marelan occur due to adolescent social environmental factors and emotional factors caused by the association of adolescents who make smoking a reason to socialize. In the study, researchers went directly to the field to be able to see firsthand how various informants described changes in adolescent behavior as a result of smoking cigarettes in the environment of 3 Niagara Villages, Medan-Marelan.
