Research on levels of iron and zinc has been carried out at PT. Citra Lestari Enviro using the Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) method. The samples tested for wastewater from the Labuhan Batu palm oil mill, from the results of the analysis of dissolved metal Fe content of 0.1026 mg/L; with a total metal content of 0.4606 mg/L and a dissolved metal content of Zn of 0.1026 mg/L with a total metal content of 0.4606 mg/L. The Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) measurement method is the amount of oxygen needed to chemically oxidize (degrade) organic matter in water. This causes organic matter to be chemically decomposed using a strong oxidizing agent under hot and acidic conditions using silver sulfate (Ag2SO4) as a catalyst. The results of analysis of the levels of Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) in two samples of palm oil mill waste using the UV-Visible method were 312.15 mg/L and 314.69 mg/L. BOD is the amount of dissolved oxygen needed by microorganisms to decompose organic matter under aerobic conditions. The BOD value does not indicate the actual amount of organic matter, but only measures the amount of oxygen needed by microorganisms to decompose the organic matter contained in the wastewater. The results of analysis of BOD levels in two samples of palm oil mill effluent using the iodometric titration method were 98.99 mg/L and 103.03 mg/L.
