dc.description.abstract | This study aims to determine the effect of population density, average length
of school, the number of poor people and the number of labor force on the number
of unemployment in North Sumatra Province. The data used is data in 2021, the
analysis technique used is path analysis. The results of this study indicate that
population density and the number of labor force have a direct effect on the number
of unemployment and the average length of school and the number of poor people
have an indirect effect on the number of unemployment and path analysis equation
is Y = 0,207X1 + 0,883Z + 0,204. Based on path analysis calculations, the total
effect of the population density variable is 4,28%, the average of length of school
is 16,6%, the number of poor people is 76,6% and the number of labor force is
77,9%. Advice that can be given in this study is that government efforts are needed
to increase the distribution of the population evenly, make policies to increase the
average of school, tackle the number od poor people and increase employment for
the labor force in oder to reduce the number of unemployment. | en_US |
