This research is motivated by the problem of poverty in Indonesia, researchers want to find out the factors that influence poverty using the path analysis method. The variables to be studied are people living below 50% median income, average length of schooling, insufficiency of food consumption and unemployment. The path analysis method is used to analyze the pattern of relationships between variables with the aim of determining the direct and indirect influence of exogenous variability on endogenous. From research using this path analysis method, the path equation was obtained which is Y = 0.379X1 + 0.448X3 – 0.363Z + 0.572. The variable of the population living below 50% median income has a direct negative effect of 14.3%, the average length of schooling has a negative indirect effect of 21%, insufficiency of food consumption has a direct positive effect of 20%, and unemployment has a direct positive effect of 13.1%. The advice that can be given in this study is that the government is expected to pay more attention to the community in providing jobs, so that the population can generate enough income to meet their needs and can live a prosperous life so that poverty in Indonesia can be reduced.
