Gaya Komunikasi Etnis Aceh di dalam Ikatan Pemuda Tanah Rencong (IPTR) di Universitas Sumatera Utara

Abstract

This research is entitled "Acehnese Ethnic Communication Style in the Ikatan Pemuda Tanah Rencong (Youth Association) (IPTR) at the University of North Sumatra". The research objective was to determine the communication process and communication style of the Acehnese ethnic in the Ikatan Pemuda Tanah Rencong (Youth Association) at the University of Sumatra Utara. This research is a descriptive qualitative method. Informants in this study amounted to six people. Data collection techniques used interviews, observation and documentation. The data that has been collected analyzed using condensation techniques, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. Test the validity of the data is done by using triangulation. The results showed that the style of communication between members of the Acehnese ethnicity in the Ikatan Pemuda Tanah Rencong (youth association) (IPTR) at the University of Sumatra Utara was passive. Passive style is an individual communication style that avoids expressing opinions or feelings openly on various matters relating to their personal rights, including not really liking expressing ways to meet their needs
