Acts of violence against children are all forms of wrong treatment, both physically and/or emotionally, sexually, neglect and exploitation that impact or have the potential to harm the child's health, child development, or child self-esteem in the context of a relationship of responsibility. Cases of violence against children in North Labuhanbatu Regency are fluctuating and relatively high from 2018 to 2021. Based on research analysis, it is known that the Office of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection of North Labuhanbatu Regency has made every effort to carry out its role in overcoming cases of violence against children that occur. The role is in the form of a prevention role and a case handling role. The role of prevention consists of outreach activities in the community, the establishment of a task force and a forum for Community-Based Integrated Child Protection (PATBM) at the village level. Meanwhile, the handling role is carried out by assisting victims to court proceedings in which the DPPPA works together with KPAID, the Police and other related parties. Based on the results of the analysis it is also known that the inhibiting and supporting factors for handling cases of violence against children include applicable regulations, lack of human resources, difficult access/geographical conditions, level of community education, socio-economic conditions of society, and development of information technology.en_US
