dc.description.abstract | This thesis examines the benefits of community social capital in the development
of marine tourism areas on Pondok Permai Beach tourism, in Parih City Village,
Hamlet 3, Serdang Bedagai Regency. This study aims to see the role of community
social capital in utilizing and developing the development of marine tourism areas
that can have an impact on increasing the income of the local community. The
method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach. The data collection
techniques used in this study are Interview, Observation, and Documentation, using
Snowball Sampling techniques in determining informants. The results of this study
show that the development of a tourist area cannot be separated from the role of
social capital of the community. In this case, the social capital built by the
community around Pondok Permai Beach through three components including:
Trust, Social Network and values and norms. The community participates in the
development of the pondok permai beach tourism area by opening a social network
through cooperation with the management, and to strengthen the cooperation
network, the community instills a value of trust that is strengthened by complying
with the norms they use. The norms they use are unwritten. so that with this social
capital, the community and the management benefit each other from social and
economic aspects so that they can increase income in the process of developing the
Pondok Permai Beach tourist area. | en_US |
