| dc.description.abstract | This research is entitled "self-concept of university students while working part time in
generation Z at the University of Sumatera Utara ". The purpose of the study was to find
out the self-concept's factors forming of university students while working part time in
generation z at the University ofSumatera Utara. The theories in this research are communication,
interpersonal communication, self concept and generation Z. This research uses a
qualitative approach with descriptive research methods. The data collection
technique used in-depth interview and observation. The informants were si.x active
university students which the generation Z at University of Sumatera Utara who were selected
using a purposive technique. Factors forming selj:concept in university students have 5 components
of selj:concept, namely: body image, self-identity, self role, self ideal and self-esteem. The
results of this study indicate that all informants have variaty self-concept component.
Self-consept components are the elements that build self: concept which self-esteem possessed
by the informan . There are positive and negative forms of self-concept owned by informants.
Informants who experienced changes during college while working part time experienced
adjustments that shaped selj:concept. | en_US |
