    Abstract
    Binahong (Anredera cordifolia) and Mobe (Artocarpus lakoocha) are herbal plants with medicinal properties. The wound healing ability of binahong and mobe leaves has been widely studied, but no one has studied the effect of the combination of binahong and mobe on alveolar bone healing in tooth socket wounds. This study aimed to analyze the effect of the combination of binahong leaf extract gel and mobe leaf on the proliferation of fibroblasts and osteocytes on the healing of the alveolar bone of male Wistar rat tooth socket wounds. In this in vivo study, 16 male Wistar rats were placed randomly into four observation groups with two different treatments, a combination of binahong leaf extract gel and mobe leaf 1:3 and Aloclair® (control). The teeth of each rat were extracted and the socket wounds treated twice a day for 14 days. Mice were sacrificed on each day for histopathological examination with HE coloring to see mean cell count of fibroblast and osteocyte. Data were analyzed with unpaired T-test. The results of this study showed that there was a significant difference in the mean number of fibroblast cells in the binahong and mobe combination gel group 1:3 compared to the control group (p<0.05) and there was a significant difference in the mean number of osteocytes in the binahong and mobe combination gel group 1:3 compared to the control group (p<0.05). Research shows that there is a synergistic reaction between binahong leaf extract and mobe leaf so that it can accelerate the healing of hard tissue in rat tooth socket wounds.
