Women and men basically have the same right to get education. However, in the past, education in the Toba Batak community still distinguished education for men and women, discrimination often occurred for women to get the same education as men. This happens in Toba Batak society as patrilineal adherents, where men have more value than women. However, along with the development of the times, namely globalization and technological advances, there has been a cultural shift in several social aspects related to the social status of women, including the position of women in social status, work, religious activities, and education, especially in the Siopat Suhu Village. The purpose of this research is to find out changes in the educational treatment of girls in Siantar Timur District and to find out the response of the Toba Batak community in Siantar Timur District to changes in education patterns for girls in Siopat Suhu Village. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research method. Data collection techniques were carried out through primary data, namely environmental observations of Siopat Suhu Village and in-depth interviews with informants, namely basic informants and key informants. While the secondary data is through the study of literature and documentation. Based on the results of the study it was found that there was indeed a change in the educational treatment of girls in the Siopat Suhu Village. The thing that makes this happen is because culture is always dynamic, so that the process of change that occurs in Batak society is caused by a mindset based on the level of parental education which is getting better and driven by developments such as globalization and rapid technological advances. This change in the treatment of education also occurred in the 90s which had prioritized women's education, especially the Batak Toba community in Siopat Suhu Sub-District, who adhered to a patriarchal lineage which previously only emphasized and prioritized male children. In maintaining this good change, it is hoped that the Toba Batak community in the Siopat Suhu Village can open themselves to other good changes, especially in terms of talent development and education for girls in the Toba Batak community. The response of the Toba Batak community in the Siopat Suhu Village is very supportive of changes in the education of girls in the Toba Batak because it can promote more just social values. Changes in treatment that are directed at equality, sustainability and justice can have a positive impact on many people, especially the Toba Batak community in Siopat Suhu Village.en_US
