Narcotic, psychotropic, and addictive substances (NAPZA) abuses not only occur in adults but also in adolescents. Based on the data of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN), there are 12,890 cases of NAPZA abuse in 2021 and the highest number of cases in North Sumatera is 2.049 cases. The research aims to find out the social construct of adolescents in NAPZA abuse using qualitative method through in-depth interviews. Data obtained are analyzed qualitatively . The result indicates that factors causing NAPZA abuses in adolescents are a social construct (internalization-objectivation-externalization) on the family structure as the main factor, as well as the environmental factors of settlements and peers and the institutional or organizational environment as supporting factors.en_US
