dc.description.abstract | This thesis is based on the background of the 2019 general election, Jarusdin Sinaga and the Hanura Party advanced to become candidates for the regional legislature for Simalungun Regency and are in the 1 (one) election area with 9 seats consisting of Raya Kahean, Purba, Haranggaol Horisan, Silimakuta, Pamatang Silimahuta, Dolok Masagal. This thesis aims to identify and analyze the role of political strategy carried out by Jarusdin Sinaga in Simalungun Regency. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, namely research that aims to present facts and events in a systematic and accurate manner and analyze their truth based on data obtained in the field. Data collection techniques in this study were interview techniques and library research. Based on the results and discussion, Jarusdin Sinaga implemented a strategy of strengthening, a strategy of instilling confidence, a strategy of recognition and capture, and implementing political marketing consisting of product, promotion, price and place.
