dc.description.abstractThe factory design for making glucose syrup from bagasse is designed with a production capacity of 90,000 tons/year and operates for 330 days a year. The main process in this factory design consists of four stages, namely the raw material preparation stage, the pretreatment stage using the kraft process, the glucose syrup hydrolysis and purification stage, and the cooking solution recovery stage. The amount of bagasse needed to reach the annual production capacity is 34,070.399 kg/hour. A glucose syrup factory from bagasse with an enzymatic hydrolysis process is planned to be built in Tulang Bawang Regency, Lampung Province, with a total factory area of 10,980 m2. The planned company organizational form is a Limited Liability Company (PT) with a line and staff organizational structure, and a total of 179 employees. The results of the economic analysis on this good design are as follows: Capital Investment (CI) : Rp 2.223.967.772.190 Total Cost (TC) : Rp 1.678.754.410.846 Profit Margin (PM) : 23,94% Break Even Point (BEP) : 28,56% Return on Investment (ROI) : 16,91% Return on Network (RON) : 28,18% Pay Out Time (POT) : 5 years 11 months Internal Rate of Return (IRR) : 16,30% Based on the results of the analysis of the technical aspects, economic aspects and environmental aspects, it can be concluded that the factory for the manufacture of glucose syrup from bagasse by enzymatic hydrolysis process is feasible to be established.en_US
