using the constructivism paradigm. The researcher used a purposive technique in
determining the informants, namely three extension workers from the Meranti Meraki Asa
Foundation who were chosen deliberately by the researchers according to the research

observation and documentation. The validity of the data was obtained using technical
triangulation, namely proving data from interviews, observations and documentation.
The results of the study showed that the communication strategy of health educators to
overcome tuberculosis, namely using individual counseling methods, was more effective.
This is based on the number of targets achieved in adopting the innovation. The
information delivery medium used by extension workers is brochures, the easiest
extension media to carry anywhere, so that counseling can be given anytime and
anywhere. The material delivered by extension workers is informative and persuasive,
and the time and place of the counseling is carried out in accordance with the time and
place of the counseling without disturbing the target audience and causing loss. Changes
in knowledge, behavior, attitudes and skills are a process of diffusion of innovations from
counseling carried out by the Meranti Meraki Asa Foundation | en_US |
