    Abstract
    The production of kappa carrageenan from eucheuma cottoni seaweed uses an extraction process with KOH solvent and the operating conditions are temperature 80°C and pressure 1 atm in the extractor tank. The kappa carrageenan factory is planned to produce with a capacity of 53,705 tons/year using eucheuma cottoni seaweed of 15,081.48 kg/hour and operate for 300 days. The planned form of business entity is a Limited Liability Company (PT). The planned organizational form is line and staff with the required workforce of 150 people. The factory location is planned in Bili-bili Village, Bontomarannu District, Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. The required land area is 10,472 m2. The results of the analysis of the economic aspects obtained are as follows: • Total Investment Capital = Rp. 5,653,293,438,738 • Total Production Cost = Rp. 5,581,167,533,842 • Sales Proceeds = Rp. 7,223,295,600,000 • Net Profit = Rp. 1,092,070,163,994 • Profit Margin = 21.60 % • Break Even Point = 30.19 % • Return On Investment = 19.32 % • Pay Out Time = 5.1 years • Return on Network = 32% • Internal Rate of Return = 35.18 % Based on the results of the analysis of the economic aspect, it can be concluded that the "Kappa Carrageenan Manufacturing Plant from Eucheuma Cottoni Seaweed with a Capacity of 53,705 Tons/Year" is feasible to establish.
