dc.description.abstractCalcium chloride is an inorganic compound that can be used as a dessicant, de-icing agent and freezing point suppression, a source of calcium ions and as an additive in the food industry. This plant uses blood clam shells as the main raw material where blood clam shells contain 98% calcium carbonate which can be utilized into calcium chloride. The process used is a mixing process of blood clam shells and hydrochloric acid (HCl). This calcium chloride plant is planned to produce with a production capacity of 18,500 tons/year and operate for 330 days a year. The plant is located in Labuhan Tangga Besar, Rokan Hilir Regency, Riau Province, Indonesia. The land area required for the establishment of the plant is 15,202 m2. The result of the analysis of the economic aspects obtained are as follows: - Total Investment Capital = Rp424.529.979.746,64 - Total Production Cost = Rp399.329.792.541,92 - Sales Result = Rp527.250.000.000,00 - Net Profit = Rp89.151.424.494,56 - Profit Margin (PM) = 24,14% - Break Even Point (BEP) = 30,48% - Return on Investment (ROI) = 21,00% - Pay Out Time (POT) = 4,76 tahun - Return on Network (RON) = 35,00% - Internal Rate of Return (IRR) = 25,32% Based on the results of the economic aspect analysis, it can be concluded that the "Calcium Chloride Manufacturing Plant from Blood Clam Shells and HCl with a Capacity of 18,500 tons/year" is feasible to establish.en_US
