    Prarancangan Pabrik Pembuatan Green Diesel dari PFAD (Palm Fatty Acid Distillate) dengan Kapasitas Produksi 150.000 Ton/Tahun dan Tugas Khusus Rancangan Keteknikan Detail Reaktor Hidrodeoksigenasi

    Abstract
    Hydrogenated renewable diesel or what is known as green diesel is an alternative fuel based on hydrocarbons that has physical and chemical properties similar to petroleum diesel than biodiesel. Green diesel has a cetane number of 55- 90 which is much higher than biodiesel, has high calor value and made from renewable materials. Green diesel can be produced from palm fatty acid distillate (PFAD) because it has a lot of fatty acids and non-food vegetable oil which is suitable as a long-term raw material. Green diesel is produced through catalytic hydroprocessing and hydrodeoxygenation reactions in accordance with PFAD raw materials. The preliminary plant of the green diesel manufacturing plant is planned to produce with a capacity of 150,000 tonnes/year for 330 days a year. It is planned to be located in Kawasan Ekonomi Khusus (KEK) Sei Mangkei, Simalungun, Sumatera Utara, with the total area of the plant area of 20,000 m2. The planned form of organization of this company is Perseroan Terbatas (PT) with a line organizational structure and staff, as well as a total of 150 employees. Hydrodeoxygenation reactor that have been designed have the following specifications: • Catalyst : Palladium on Carbon (Pd/C) • Catalyst weight : 1.390,404 kg • Reactor type : Fixed Bed Reactor Multitubular • Construction material : Carbon steel SA-299 • Number of tube : 42 tube • Tube thickness : 1/8 in • Shell diameter : 54 in • Shell thickness : 1 ¼ in • Reactor height : 10,864 m The economic analysis results on this preliminary plant design are as follows: • Capital Investment (CI) : Rp 4.419.827.296.227,05 • Total Cost : Rp 1.655.103.279.761,63 • Total Sales Result : Rp 2.776.158.289.996,05 • Total Net Profit : Rp 745.556.581.805,89 • Profit Margin (PM) : 38,362% • Break Even Point (BEP) : 25,357% • Return on Investment (ROI) : 16,868% • Pay Out Time (POT) : 5 tahun 11 bulan • Return on Network (RON) : 28,114% • Internal Rate of Return (IRR): 21,322% Based on the results of economic analysis, it can be concluded that the Green Diesel manufacturing plant from Palm Fatty Acid Distillate (PFAD) is feasible to be established.
