Peran Pengurus Asrama Mensosialisasikan Pendidikan Moral dan Etika Pada Mahasiswi yang Tinggal di Asrama Putri Universitas Quality Medan

Abstract

This research is motivated by the decline in morals and ethics of younger generations due to unfavorable environment and inappropriate use of technology, especially cellular phones. Education of moral and ethics is oneof the efforts made for younger generation, directed to the development of Indonesia. The objective of this study delves into how about the role of dormitory managers in delivering education of moral and ethics to the female students living in female student-only dormitory at Universitas Quality Medan· . Qualitative research methods with triangulation data collection techniques are employed for the analysis method in this research. The findings of this research demonstrate that dormitory managers consistently socializes education of moral and ethics by means of coaching and training and a set of rules and regulations in the dormitory. The life habits in the female student-only dormitory at Universitas Quality Medan get the female students used to living with discipline, honesty, responsibility, wisdom, mutual respect, self confidence (with good mentality) and being able to take care of themselves and others. The students state that socialization of education of moral and ethics has made them more disciplined and full of character, and trained them to have good communication with faculty, staff and all female students, to have a sense of responsibility for development of Indonesia and to always prioritize the prevailing moral principles wherever they are. This is proven by alumni who are already working and are pursuing their studies. Therefore, a good moral and ethical upbringing and habituation of every student has a very positive impact on her life, wherever she is.
