Pengaruh Ekonomi Pariwisata Berkelanjutan Kawasan Strategis Nasional Danau Toba terhadap Peningkatan Ekonomi Masyarakat

Abstract

The Government of the Republic of Indonesia has made tourism as one of the pillars of economic growth. In line with this, the Government of Indonesia has established a national strategic tourist destination, one of which is the Lake Toba area. The problem that arises is what factors influence the Lake Toba National Strategic Area to become sustainable tourism and what are the strategies to make it happen. The purpose of this study is to analyze these factors and formulate strategies to make them happen. A total of 312 respondents who represent stakeholders are the sample in this study. The analysis of the influencing factors was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and SWOT Analysis and the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) was used to formulate strategic priorities. The research shows that: (1) Supporting tourism has a positive significant effect on the ecology of the strategic area of Lake Toba; (2) Supporting tourism has a positive significant effect on improving the economy of the community in the strategic area of Lake Toba; (3) Supporting tourism has a positive significant effect on sustainable tourism in the strategic area of Lake Toba; (4) Ecology has a positive significant effect on the economy of the community in the strategic area of Lake Toba; (5) Ecology has not effect on sustainable tourism in the strategic area of Lake Toba; (6) The economy has not effect on sustainable tourism in the strategic area of Lake Toba; (7) Supporting tourism has a positive significant effect on sustainable tourism in the strategic area of Lake Toba through ecology; (8) Supporting tourism has not effect on sustainable tourism in the strategic area of Lake Toba through the economy, and (9) Ecology has not effects on sustainable tourism in the strategic area of Lake Toba through the economy. Supporting tourism is the main factor influencing the strategic area of Lake Toba as a sustainable tourism area.
