dc.description.abstractThe development in the business world due to technological changes and globalization have encouraged PTPN to conduct business transformation to fulfill its role as plantation commodity-based food and energy security in Indonesia. The success of business transformation at PTPN to fulfill its role, one of which is determined by the subjective career success of its employees. The subjective career success demonstrates the psychologically career success for employee, which will contribute to the success of organization. Several important factors influencing subjective career success in recent previous studies are networking behavior, inclusive leadership, and innovative work behavior. This study aims to examine the influence of networking behavior, inclusive leadership, and innovative work behavior on subjective career success. Furthermore, this study aims to analyze to role of pro-growth absorptive capacity as mediator between inclusive leadership, networking behavior and innovative work behavior on subjective career success. This research was conducted at PTPN which consisted of PTPN I to PTPN XIV in Indonesia, the sample in this study were 185 top-level managers. The sampling technique used in this study is proportional random sampling and analysis test using the Structural Equation Model (SEM). The results of the study succeeded in answering the research gap between networking behavior and subjective career success by including pro-growth absorptive capacity as a mediating variable, which proved to be positive and significant. This research also succeeded in confirming the role of pro-growth absorptive capacity as a full mediator between leadership and subjective career success, as a partial mediation between inclusive leadership and innovative work behavior as well as networking behavior and subjective career success. Furthermore, the results of the study were able to prove that networking behavior has a direct influence on subjective career success, which in previous studies could not be concluded consistently. So it can be stated that the research results have succeeded in developing a new theory of subjective career success.en_US
