| dc.description.abstract | The Covid-19 pandemic has caused the Termination of Employment
(PHK) for convection workers from their previous company in Jalan
Medan Area Selatan, Sukaramai I Village, Medan. Of course, this
impacts six aspects of the socio- economic life of the former convection
workers: employment, income, education, health, social interactions,
and living conditions. Based on the research, the Covid 19 pandemic
had a crucial and significant negative impact on six aspects of their
socio-economic life. Regarding work, after losing their jobs, former
convection workers are looking for other jobs to make a living. As for
income, the salary they receive at their current job is still lower than
their previous job. The education aspect did not have an impact
because, on average, the informant's children who were still in school
had received government financing, which was also free. Regarding
social interaction, the Covid 19 pandemic has caused them to be
reluctant to participate in associations or social gatherings that require a
monthly fee. In the housing or residential aspect, the informants had a
considerable impact.Especially the informants who are still renting or
contracting. That means they have more difficulty paying their rent. | en_US |
