dc.description.abstract | The Integrity Zone is a title given to government agencies to realize a
Corruption Free Area (WBK) and a Clean and Serving Bureaucratic Area
(WBBM) through bureaucratic reform. One of the agencies implementing the
Integrity Zoneis the High Religious Court of Medan City. However, there are still
problems, namely the lack of coordination between Medan PTA employees in
preparing evaluation reports, areas where evidence is still empty and has notbeen
uploaded but given an A grade, and the lack of socialization and
governmentcommitment in developing an anti-corruption bureaucratic work
culture. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Religious High Court
in improvingthe Integrity Zone System as an effort to create a corruption-free
area/clean bureaucratic area serving in Medan City.
The research method used in this research is descriptive research with a
qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out using interviews,
observation, documentation, and literature techniques. The data were analyzed
qualitatively with indicators of Effectiveness by Richard M. Steers (1985),
namely:goal attainment, integration, and adaptability.
The results of the study show that First, at the stage of achieving the
objectives, it can be seen from the success of PTA Medan in obtaining the title of
Free from Corruption Area (WBK). Second, at the integration stage, it can be
seen that the commitment built by the Medan Religious High Court is good. It's
just that at the beginning of the declaration of this commitment it was not
optimal.Third, regarding Adaptation there is still a lack of adjustment of
employees to agencies. This can be seen from the inadequate facilities and
infrastructure of PTA Medan. Thus, even though PTA Medan has succeeded in
obtaining the WBK title, it is something that must be upgraded to become WBBM. | en_US |
