dc.description.abstract | Every individual has hopes in life, one of which is welfare. Welfare is expected
not only physical well-being, but also psychological well-being. Individuals who
are mentally healthy will feel well-being within themselves, this is also called
psychological well-being. During the New Order era, women in Indonesia began
to take their role into account. Women prefer to work in order to create a work family balance, a balance between work and family interests. The formulation of
the problem in this research is how is the psychological well-being of housewives
who work at BRI, Pematangsiantar City. The type of research conducted is field
research which is descriptive in nature, namely describing in a systematic, factual
and accurate manner the facts, characteristics and relationships between the
phenomena investigated. Methods of data collection in this study using
interviews, observation, and documentation.
Based on the results of the research and discussion on this research activity, it can
be concluded that based on the results of the research analysis found by
researchers, it can be concluded that the Psychological Welfare of Housewives
Working in Banking is directly proportional to the support provided by the family.
Thus, researchers can conclude that the Psychological Welfare of BRI Employees
in Pematangsiantar City fulfills aspects of psychological well-being, namely
having a Positive Relationship with Others, Self-Acceptance, Independence, being
able to Master the Environment, having a Purpose in Life, and having Personal
