Public trust can be formed if the government is considered capable of overcoming the problems experienced by the public. Public trust, especially in the implementation of the Balairung Balige traditional market revitalization policy in Toba Regency, has not been achieved due to the discrepancy in the final results of the initial planning. These discrepancies include the form of kiosks with table models that cannot be used in general by traders, a reduction in the number of kiosks, delays in building completion, and damages to building products such as; the pipes connecting the bathroom and the WWTP cannot function, there are cracked floors, there is rain that has entered the market causing stagnant water and bone walls that still need to be repaired. This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of public trust on the implementation of the Balairung Balige traditional market revitalization policy in Toba Regency. The type of research used is survey research with a quantitative approach. Respondents in this study amounted to 85 people using a questionnaire as a data collection tool. The results of this study indicate that public trust has a negative and significant effect on the implementation of public policy. Based on the results of the F test, a significance value of 0.023.96. Negative influence shows public opinion regarding the level of public trust in the implementation of public policies in negative circumstances. The recommendation of this research is to improve the implementation of better public policies by paying attention to indicators that can influence public trust. This is because public trust is interrelated with the support or compliance of the community in implementing these public policies.
