Analisis Pengaruh Pertumbuhan Ekonomi, Inflasi dan Pengangguran terhadap Kemiskinan di Kab/Kota Provinsi Sumatera Utara

Abstract

The high poverty rate has become a strategic problem in north Sumatera province which is indicated by numerous people who lack of their basic needs. The objective of the research is to analyze the effects of economic growth, inflation, and unemployment on poverty in the regencies/municipalitiesof North Sumatera province. The research employs quantitative method with time series and cross sectional design. The data are analyzed by using multiple linear regression analysis. The result of panel data regression test with random effect model shows that economic growth does not affect poverty while inflation and unemployment have positive and significant effects on the level of poverty with t-sig of unemployment and inflation at-4.382 and -4.984 respectively.
