Studi Resepsi Mahasiswa Sinematografi Komunikasi Usu Pada Film Miracle In Cell No. 7 Versi Indonesia Sebagai Komunikasi Informasi dan Edukasi

Abstract

This study aims to determine the reception of USU Communication Cinematography activity unit students in seeing the representation of interpersonal communication of people with special needs in the Indonesian version of the film Miracle in Cell Zero 7 as information communication and education for the community. The theories used include communication, interpersonal communication, mass communication, film, perception and information and education communication (IEC). The research method used is descriptive method with qualitative approach. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews and participant observation, involving six informants who are active members of the USU Communication Cinematography activity unit who have watched the film. The results showed that the representation in the Indonesian version of Miracel in Cell No. 7 is in accordance with the daily lives of people with special needs supported by the role of actors in representing their lives. In the process of perception (Mitlan 2009) which involves the visual system, organising in perception and object recognition, making informants feel emotions such as sadness and pity, which affects their understanding of how to communicate with people with special needs, one of which is by understanding slowly. The film can be an educational tool for the community, as it provides an overview of communication with people with special needs.
