This thesis entitled "“Kaderisasi Partai Keadilan
Sejahtera” (Studi Sosiologi Politik Pada DPD Partai Keadilan
Sejahtera Di Kota Medan)), examines how the cadre and
recruitment process is carried out by the Prosperous Justice
Party in Medan City. This research is motivated by how a
islamic studies movement can turn into a political party. The
purpose of this research is to provide an overview of how PKS
can survive to get sympathy in the community and the
development of PKS then and now.
This thesis provides an overview of PKS strategies and
attitudes in Medan City after the 5th MUNAS at PKS in 2020.
Changes made by PKS include changing the logo, changing
party terms, creating an image of itself as an inclusive party
through various activities, but Basically, PKS still relies on
recruitment and regeneration through liqo, halaqoh, tasqif,
and various forms of activities with other Islamic themes.
This research was conducted using a qualitative
approach, the data collection process was carried out by
means of observation, interviews and document studies. The
data collection process was carried out using the
"Participation Observation" model where the researcher was
also a direct part of the internal PKS as a cadre and occupied
the structure as chairman of the East Helvetia PKS.
The researcher made two problem formulations in this
thesis. First, how is the regeneration system for the Prosperous
Justice Party in Medan? Researchers searched the archives of
PKS and conducted interviews to find out how each informant's
experience in joining PKS and the socialization activities of its
development so far. Second, what factors influence the
regeneration process of the Prosperous Justice Party in Medan
City. In this case the researcher will describe how the
challenges faced by regeneration and the activities carried out
by informants in the context of recruitment are based on
interviews and researcher participation while in PKS. This
thesis is also equipped with photos of PKS activities as a visual
illustration of this thesis.
