The Human Development Index (HDI) is one of the important indicators in looking at the other side of development. HDI is used to measure success in efforts to build the quality of human life. In this study, the Human Development Index is categorized into two categories, namely medium if HDI < 70, and high if HDI > 70. Based on data analysis and discussion using binary probit regression, it can be seen that the factors that affect HDI are the percentage of poor people. The use of binary probit regression models resulted in a classification accuracy model of 81.82 percent with a classification error rate of 18.18 percent.en_US
